ابان کی آنکھیں نم تھیں۔ اسے لگا جسے وہ اس کے آس پاس ہے۔ ابان نے جھٹ آنکھ کھول دی مگر وہاں کوئی نہیں تھا ۔اس کی آنکھ سے آنسو گرنے لگے ۔

ایسا لگتا ہے مجھے تو مار ڈالے گی جدائی 

یہ جدائی یہ جدائی مار ڈالے گی جدائی 

یاد آئی ،یاد آئی پھر تمہاری یاد آئی۔

ابان گاڑی کا گیٹ کھول کر باہر نکل گیا ۔ پانی کی لہریں آ کر اس کے پیروں کو چھو رہی تھیں ۔ وہ اپنے دونوں ہاتھ جیب میں ڈالے کھڑا سمندر کی موجوں کو دیکھ رہا تھا ۔رات کا سناٹا ، سمندر بھی خوف ناک لگ رہا تھا مگر وہاں کھڑے شخص کی زندگی بھی ایسے ہی ویران اور سیاہ تھی ۔جس کی خاموشی لوگوں کو خوفناک لگتی تھی۔

ابان مجھے لگتا ہے بیٹا انب تمھہیں شادی کر لینی چاہیے ۔ وہ سب رات کے کھانے کی ٹیبل پر بیٹھے تھے جب مسز مصطفی نے اسے مخاطب کِیا . دیکھو اب تو تمہارے چھوٹے بھائی کی بھی شادی ہو گئی ہے ۔ کب تک بیٹا اس لڑکی کے جانے کا سوگ مناٶ گے؟
